The most important thing you can do
between now and the time you die
is listen to the people you are talking to.
Listening will save the world.
Carl Jung said,
"The problem with the world
is that no one gets to tell their story,"
(Or, words to that effect).
NO ONE IS LISTENING!!!
Turn the tide!
Listen to the people
who are talking to you
in ways that let them know
you are listening,
and hearing what they say!
02
When we listen one another
to the point of being able to hear
what we are saying--
what we have to say--
we enlarge perspectives,
change minds,
wake each other up
and transform the world
just by being the mirror
reflecting the truth of who we are
and the reality of what we are saying
allowing realization and adjustment
to be automatic
and amazing.

Balance and harmony
are the test of all philosophies of life
and religious beliefs.
If our cherished philosophies and beliefs
fail to produce balance and harmony,
they are worthless,
and in preventing us from finding
helpful alternatives,
they are doing more harm than good.
Think of balance and harmony
as being grounded in an outlook,
a perspective,
that enables us to weather all storms
and ride out any threat to our stability
and peace of mind,
permitting us to smooth things over,
allowing us to restore order,
sort things out
and put them back in place
with a minimum amount of stress
and distraction.
Balance and harmony equips us
to take things in stride
and remain capable of doing
what needs to be done
in dealing with what must be dealt with,
where, when and how it must be dealt with
in a one thing after another kind of way.
Our ability to do this is enhanced
with regular retreats into
emptiness, stillness and silence,
and returns to
art, music and nature,
where we find rest for the journey,
revitalizing our heart
and restoring our soul
for the work of balance and harmony
though all that lies ahead.
